She graduated from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in 2002, and in 2004 gained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. During her time at UT, she interned with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality assisting the Air Permitting Team. She was selected for an internship position at a GE Turbine Repair Shop in Houston, TX in 2010 where she developed a passion for process management and Excel/VBA as well as discovered a talent for project management. During her short time with GE, she was awarded 6 GE recognition awards for excellent work. She then took her newfound passions to Cisco’s Managed Services Division where she supported operations and sales teams in a fast-paced IT environment, giving her experience with business reporting and metrics. Michelle then secured a position with the Torchy’s Tacos Facilities Department in 2015 where she was able to apply her skills while learning about the facilities and construction industries. At Torchy’s, she was able to expand her expertise to include database program management, inventory management, planned maintenance scheduling, training, and vendor management. She is now very excited to be part of the Citadel team and looks forward to the challenge of helping to develop scalable solutions with the project management team and tools.
